Rajkot: A total of 20 loan sharks were booked on Friday after a man fled his home,
leaving behind a suicide note, alleging that he was going to end his life due to the constant harassment.
Police said that Bipin Solanki left his residence in Anamika Society on University Road in Rajkot on Tuesday. “In his suicide note, Solanki has alleged that the loan sharks had been harassing him for the recovery of Rs 80 lakh that he had taken from them in instalments on interest since 2007,” said an official from University police station.
Solanki’s wife Urmila lodged a police complaint against the loan sharks led by Arjan Bagada, Ghanshyam Saiya and Raju Bhatti, stating that Solanki had to sell off his house, shop and land to repay the interest on the debt. And yet, the accused were asking for more money.
