Karnataka HC rejects bail to city realtor

Karnataka high court
BENGALURU: The Karnataka high court has denied bail to a realtor, considered as the main beneficiary in a murder plot for garnering 1 acre 8 guntas property in KR Puram, East Bengaluru.
Dismissing the bail petition filed by S Ramesh, Justice K Natarajan has noted that the petitioner not only created a sale deed to get the said land in his name, but also conspired with others to kill Krishnappa for the purpose of getting a death certificate in the name of Nanjappa and destroyed the evidence thereafter by burning Krishnappa’s dead body.
In this case, interestingly, the interrogation of Venkataswamy, who worked as watchman with Ramesh helped the police to unravel two murders, including that of Krishnappa.

When it was reported that Venkataswamy’s wife Sudharani had committed suicide by setting herself ablaze, the police arrived at the spot. However, when blood stains were found on the wall of the house situated in Nimbekayipur near Hosakote , the police suspected foul play.
When Venkataswamy was interrogated, he revealed that he murdered his wife Sudharani fearing that she may reveal the killing of 60-year-old Krishnappa by the gang.
