118 suburban trains to remain cancelled in Chennai this weekend

CHENNAI: Southern Railway has announced cancellation of 118 suburban trains on the Chennai-Arakkonam section in the weekend for construction of a passenger subway at Vepampattu railway station.
Line and power block has been permitted on the up and down fast lines for 12 hours from 10.15pm on Saturday (May 25) to 10.15am on Sunday (May 26).
As many as 21 trains will remain cancelled on Saturday. These are as follows.
Train No 43437 MMC – Arakkonam EMU local leaving MMC at 9.15pm, Train No 43125 MMC– Pattabiram Siding EMU local leaving MMC at 9.40pm, Train No 43253 MMC – Tiruvallur EMU local leaving MMC at 9.40pm, Train No 43661 Chennai Beach–Avadi EMU local leaving at 9.45pm, Train No 43025 MMC – Avadi EMU local leaving MMC at 10pm, Train No 43439 MMC – Arakkonam EMU local leaving MMC at 10.10pm, Train No 43127 MMC– Pattabiram Siding EMU local leaving MMC at 10.35pm, Train No 66009 MMC – Arakkonam EMU local leaving MMC at 10:45pm, Train No 43255 MMC – Tiruvallur EMU local leaving MMC at 11.10pm, Train No 43663 Chennai Beach – Avadi EMU local leaving at 11.15pm, Train No 43257 MMC – Tiruvallur EMU local leaving MMC at 11.45pm, Train No 43029 MMC – Avadi EMU local leaving MMC at 11.25pm, Train No 43892 Pattabiram Siding - Avadi EMU local leaving at 11.55pm, Train No 43132 Pattabiram Siding - MMC EMU local leaving at 10.45pm, Train No 43258 Tiruvallur - MMC EMU local leaving Arakkonam at 8.50pm, Train No 43260 Tiruvallur - MMC EMU local leaving Tiruvallur at 9.55pm, Train No 43428 Arakkonam-MMC EMU local leaving Arakkonam at 6.55pm, Train No 66054 Tiruvallur - Avadi EMU local leaving Tiruvallur at 10.10pm, Train No 43438 Arakkonam-MMC EMU local leaving Arakkonam at 9.45pm, Train No 43844 Arakkonam-Avadi EMU local leaving Arakkonam at 9.55pm and Train No 43520 Tiruttani - MMC EMU local leaving Tiruttani at 9.45pm.
As many as 97 suburban services will remain cancelled on Sunday.
They include 30 EMU services from MMC, nine EMU services from Chennai Beach, three EMU services from Avadi, one EMU service from Tiruvallur and one EMU service from Ennore towards Avadi, Tiruvallur, Pattabiram Siding, Tiruttani, Kadambattur and Arakkonam. So totally 44 EMU trains will be cancelled from 1:20am to 10:45am on Sunday.
Similarly, in the return direction, 39 EMU Services from Avadi, Tiruvallur, Pattabiram Siding, Tiruttani, Kadambattur, Arakkonam, Ponneri and Vellore to MMC, 11 EMU services to Chennai Beach, one EMU service to Velachery, one EMU service to Ponneri and one EMU service to Arakkonam would be fully cancelled (total 53 EMU trains) from 3.20am to 7.20am on Sunday.
Specials
On Saturday, there will be two passenger specials from MMC to Avadi at 10.15pm, and 11.55pm, and two passenger specials from MMC to Arakkonam at 11.45pm and 11.50pm, and one passenger special from Velachery to Avadi at 9:25pm.
In return direction on Saturday, there will be two passenger specials from Arakkonam to MMC at 9.55pm and 10pm, one passenger special from Thiruvallur to Avadi at 10.40pm, and one passenger special from Tiruttani to MMC at 10pm, and one passenger special from Thiruvallur to MMC at 10.55pm.
On Sunday, there will be five passenger specials from MMC to Arakkonam at 5.20am, 6.15am, 7.35am , 8.05am and 8.45am.

In return direction, there will be four passenger specials from Arakkonam to MMC at 4.40am, 6am, 6.40am and 9.15am and one passenger special from Vellore to Chennai Beach at 6am.
These passengers specials will run on fast line between Arakkonam and Thiruvallur stations and so they will not stop at Senji Panambakkam.
