Prime Minister Theresa May has announced her resignation plans today.
The Conservative leader has made a statement outside Downing Street this morning where she is has said she will stand down as Prime Minister.
She will resign on June 7.
The Prime Minister met Sir Graham Brady, the leader of backbench conservatives, before making her speech outside No10.
She was left in a precarious position following a backlash after her revised Brexit deal.

Concluding her resignation statement, Mrs May broke down as she said it had been “the honour of my life” to serve “the country that I love”.

The Prime Minister said she had “done my best” to deliver a Brexit deal as she made a statement about her future in Downing Street.

Mrs May said: “This country is a union. We stand together and together we have a great future.
“Our politics may be under strain, but there is so much that is good about this country.
