A relatively warm Bank Holiday weekend is on the way - but spells of rain could put a dampener on things.

Forecasters are predicting a mixed picture for the second Bank Holiday of the month with temperatures in the mid to high teens, but showers could also be on the way.

Overall, it should prove to be quite pleasant over the course of the weekend.

Temperatures are set to lower as the weekend progresses, following a week of warm conditions in North Wales.

By Monday, the mercury is set to drop to around 13C.

The mixed weekend will come after a balmy Friday, according to forecasters.

The unsettled weather is set to remain a factor in the week following the Bank Holiday.

"There will be showers or longer spells of rain at times, including the odd heavy or thundery shower. However, there will be some dry and bright spells too."
