MUMBAI: National carrier Air India is likely to deploy Boeing 747 jumbo jet on the Mumbai-Delhi route and Delhi-Kolkata route from June 1 for a month.
"The jumbo jet will handle the increased demand on these routes," said an Air India official. Starting June 1, Air India will also offer 3,500 more seats per week on the Mumbai - Dubai - Mumbai route and, from June 2, it will offer 3,500 more seats per week on Delhi - Dubai - Delhi by operating two more new flights through B787 Dreamliner aircraft, said a statement issued by Air India.
"The airline will offer one way economy class promotional fare of Rs7,777 from both Delhi and Mumbai to Dubai for sale and travel up to July 31," it said.

On the domestic front, effective June 5 Air India will introduce new flights on Bhopal - Pune - Bhopal route and from Varanasi to Chennai.
AI will also increase its flights on Mumbai - Vizag route. Apart from it, the airline plans to increase flight frequency on routes between Delhi and destinations like Raipur, Bengaluru, Amritsar and Vadodara and then from Chennai to Ahmedabad, Kolkata.
