The 638-room, guitar-shaped Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida is 400-foot-tall. Room reservations can be made online beginning July 24, and tickets to the grand opening’s headliner musical act – Maroon 5 – are available for purchase now.
Hard Rock plans to open a similar guitar-shaped hotel in Barcelona, Spain in 2020 followed by one in Japan.
Hard Rock in Florida overlooks a 10-acre lagoon dotted with cabanas and will be part of a complex with dozens of restaurants and bars, a 41,000-square-foot spa and a casino that will be expanded by 30 per cent.
The existing 3,500-seat concert venue – which is hosting shows by Rod Stewart and Britney Spears this month – will be expanded by 3,000 seats and will have its own broadcast facilities.
The musical element is an enormous part of what defines the Hard Rock hotels, restaurants and entertainment properties around the world.
A family-friendly man-made lake featuring paddle boats and a lazy river, a 12,000-foot rooftop bar and lounge area as well as retail stores and large spaces for conventions will also be part of the facility.
There are 3,000 slot machines, 228 game tables and 14 restaurants on site.
Hard Rock Live, a part of the hotel and casino’s expansion, will be home to live music and more.
