RAMPUR: Actor-turned-politician Jaya Prada of BJP is trailing against Samajwadi Party's Azam Khan in Rampur Lok Sabha constituency, according to the latest trends.
After the latest round of counting, Jaya Prada has received 46730 votes while her SP rival Azam Khan has got 65104 votes.
Overall, the BJP is currently leading in 56 out of total 80 seats in UP, while the Mahagathbandhan is ahead in 23 constituencies, as per trends at 10.53 AM.
Rampur Lok Sabha ConstituencyRampur Lok Sabha is a key constituency of Uttar Pradesh state. The constituency has been held by Congress the most number of times. In the last 10 Lok Sabha elections, Congress won the seat four times, followed by BJP who won it thrice and SP held the seat twice.
In 2014, the seat was won by BJP candidate Nepal Singh. This time, Rampur will witness high profile battle between SP senior leader Azam Khan and BJP candidate Jaya Prada.
