Andhra Pradesh Assembly Election Result 2019 LIVE Updates: PM Modi congratulates Jagan Mohan Reddy

Live updates of the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Vidhan Sabha election result. Leads are in from all 175 seats of the state

  • Update: The YSRCP is also leading in 24 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh.It also defeated TDP easily in Assembly seats. Chandrababu Naidu's party is gaining from Vijayawada.

  • "I sincerely thank the people who overwhelmingly voted for YSRC and blessed it. I also thank them for exercising their franchise in large numbers and enhanced the value of democracy. I will live up to the expectations of the people," Jagan Mohan Reddy said in a Facebook post.

  • UPDATE | YSRCP's Karanam Dharmasri is ahead by 22, 529 votes against TDP sitting MLA Raju. In the Nagari constituency, actress-turned-politician RK Roja has defeated TDP's Gali Bhanuprakash Reddy by 2681 votes. Minister Acchennaidu is leading by 2200 votes against Perada Tilak of YSRCP in Tekkali.

    Potential CM of Andhra Pradesh and chief of the YSR Congress Party, Jagan Mohan Reddy spoke to the media from his residence in Amravati. Reddy congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for BJP's resounding success in the General elections. He reiterated that his fight for Andhra Pradesh's special status will continue.
