Lok Sabha election results: Panneerselvam, Vijayakanth greet PM Modi

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam on Thursday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for securing a massive victory in the 2019 elections to the Lok Sabha.
“I would like to convey my hearty congratulations for your spectacular performance and landslide victory in the 17th Lok Sabha elections,” said Panneerselvam in a statement issued on Thursday.
“I am sure that the decisive mandate given by the citizens of India, consecutively for the second term, brushing aside the false propaganda by the opposition parties, would inspire you to continue your good efforts to lead our country on the path of peace and prosperity. I pray almighty to shower you with greater achievements and many more years of healthy life,” he said.
DMDK chief Vijayakanth also congratulated Modi on his massive victory. “I congratulate you on the impressive victory of the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections 2019 under your leadership. I also wish you all the best,” said Vijayakanth in a statement.
Earlier, chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami had congratulated Modi.
