Wayanad, Creating a history in the Lok Sabha poll in Wayanad, Congress President Rahul Gandhi crossed a whopping three lakh votes margin even as the counting entered the last phase at around 1250 hrs.

Mr Gandhi secured a lead of 3,31,840 votes over his CPI nominee P P Suneer.

The biggest vote margin secured ever by any candidate in Kerala was by the late E Ahmed of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) in Malappuram who won by 1,95,000 votes.
