Manhunt is underway for a shirtless fugitive with a Jim Beam tattoo who escaped from a police station

Police have launched a desperate search to locate a man who escaped from police custody.
Officers from Hunter Valley Police District and PolAir started their search for Jay Bill Mason in Singleton, New South Wales, about 2.30pm on Wednesday.
Mason, 26, escaped custody from the Singleton Police station, and has a noticeable Jim Beam tattoo on his back.

On Thursday, the efforts continued with policemen from the Hunter Valley conducting an extensive search of Singleton and the surrounding areas.
Police believe he may still be in the Singleton area.
The 26-year-old is currently wanted on outstanding warrants for breach of parole order and revocation of intensive correction order.
Police have described the man as of Caucasian appearance and about 195cm tall.
He has a thin build, with short brown hair shaved on top and longer at the back.
The man has a tattoo of the word 'RIP' on his arm, tattoos on his chest and a full sleeve on his left arm.
He was last seen shirtless, wearing navy blue shorts with a floral print, and white ankle socks.
If sighted, the public is urged not to approach him but to contact police immediately.
