GORAKHPUR: Popular Bhojpuri actor and BJP candidate Ravi Kishan is leading against SP's Ram Bhuwal Nishad and Madhusudan Tripathi of Congress in Gorakhpur Lok Sabha constituency, according to the latest trends.
After the latest round of counting, Kishan has received 214713 votes while his SP rival Nishad has got 127310 votes and Congress's Tripathi received 8664 votes.
Overall, the BJP is currently leading in 57 out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh, while the Mahagathbandhan is ahead in 22 constituencies, as per trends at 11.17 AM.

UP chief minister and BJP leader Yogi Adityanath has won the Gorakhpur Lok Sabha constituency seat five times in a row in 1998, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014. The seat was also represented by his guru Mahant Avaidyanath for three terms: 1989, 1991 and 1996.
In 2018 by-poll, SP's Praveen Kumar Nishad won the seat by a margin of 21,881 votes.
In 2019 Gorakhpur Lok Sabha Election, the fight is in between SP leader Rambuhal Nishad, BJP candidate Ravi Kishan and Madhusudan Tiwari of Congress party.
