A mother and her baby boy have narrowly escaped injury after they became the latest victims of a drive-by shooting in Sydney.
The woman and her baby were inside a home at Mount Pritchard, in Sydney's southwest, when bullets were fired just before 10pm on Wednesday night.
Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command were called to the property on David Street, near Anderson Avenue, following reports gunshots had been fired.

When police arrived at the home, they found bullet casings on the driveway and a bullet hole in the home’s fence.
Both the woman and her four-month-old child were uninjured during the ordeal.
The woman, who has asked to remain anonymous, told 7News she initially thought the sound of the shots were fireworks.
'Then I realised it was gun shots,' the woman said.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers.
A man who was not home when police first arrived has since returned to the property and is assisting with their investigation.
The Mount Pritchard shooting is the fifth drive-by shooting to occur across the city in less than 48 hours.

Police were called to a Regents Park house in southwest Sydney about 12.55am on Wednesday after they received reports shots had been fired into the home and a car parked out the front.
Twenty minutes later officers were called to a house at Ryde, in the city's northwest, following reports shots were fired into the home and a car out the front.
The seven people inside the house at the time were uninjured.
Police are expected to investigate whether the shootings are linked.
There was also a shooting that took place at a real estate business in Berala, in Sydney's west.
