Chicago P.D. Season 6 literally just ended, but we're already jonesing for new episodes afterWednesday's heart-stopping finale, aptly titled "Reckoning," raised major questions which need to be answered immediately.
The jaw-dropping hour saw Voight's (Jason Beghe) ongoing war with Police Superintendent Kelton (John C. McGinley) come to a head, resulting in Kelton's death, seemingly at Voight's hands. The final moments of the episode found Kelton shot to death in his home after winning the mayoral election, which seemed mighty convenient since Voight had just pledged to "do what needs to be done" after realizing the Intelligence Unit failed to link Kelton to any part of their investigation. Add that to his pointed conversation with Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) about handing over the unit to him and the fact that the last shot of the finale was Voight driving away from the scene of the crime, and it's all but a smoking gun.

As for Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda), thing are looking pretty dire. This season has been pretty rough on Voight's second-in-command. Antonio battled an addiction to painkillers which led to his daughter being kidnapped--and to him ending the frightening scenario by shoving her captor through a window to his death. But with oxy still in his system, Antonio was forced to flee the scene while Voight and Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) covered for him. That bold act came back to Intelligence when internal affairs reopened the investigation into that officer-involved death, putting everyone on edge.
The finale saw him relapse, if the pill he took was, in fact, a painkiller, after Ruzek was arrested for misconduct and obstruction. Considering this was supposed to be Seda's last episode before exiting the show, we're more curious than ever how this whole thing is going to shake out when Chicago P.D. returns for Season 7.
