MP may revive murder case against Pragya Thakur

Pragya Thakur
BHOPAL/INDORE: The MP government is considering reopening the 2007 murder case of RSS pracharak Sunil Joshi, in which Pragya Thakur — Malegaon blast accused and BJP’s LS candidate from Bhopal — was an accused. Pragya was acquitted in the case by a lower court in 2017. “We will take legal opinion and take a decision to appeal before a higher court,” law minister P C Sharma said on Tuesday.
Sharma said the Dewas district collector has been asked to submit a report on the case. “The case was closed by a former collector of Dewas, who, instead of sending the case details to the state law department, took the decision arbitrarily,” Sharma said.
