LUCKNOW: A gas agency clerk heading home near
Mohammadpur in Indiranagar was robbed of Rs 36,000 at gunpoint on Tuesday evening.
Dayaram Srivastava (38) is a hypertension patient and fell unconscious minutes after the attack. He was admitted to a private hospital and discharged later.
According to the police, Srivastava was on way home on a bike when two masked bikers intercepted him near Mohammadpur crossing.
"They inquired about some address and then asked me to accompany them. I refused, saying I was getting late for home. Suddenly, the man on the pillion whipped out a pistol and snatched my cash bag containing Rs 36,000," Srivastava told police.
"I feel I have seen the miscreants following me in the last two-three days. I did not try to confront the attackers because they had a gun," said Srivastava.

Indiranagar Deepak Kumar Singh said, "We have registered a complaint. The act suggests the criminals had done a recce on Srivastava and were aware of the time of his commute. We are scanning CCTV footage and talking to other passers by."
