LokSabha 2019: Counting day: Traffic diversions near the Balewadi Complex

Pimpri: There will be changes in the traffic movement on Thursday, May 23 at the Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Sports Complex, Balewadi, on account of it being the counting day for the Lok Sabha elections held for Maval and Shirur seats.

The road leading from the Mhalunge police chowki to Mhalunge village will be closed for all vehicles from 5.30 am to midnight 
on Thursday.

The area from Mhalunge chowki to Rajmata Jijau Chowk has been reserved for parking of vehicles of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BPJ) and Shiv Sena workers.

The open space opposite Balewadi stadium gate number 4 has been reserved for the workers of the Vanchit Aghadi and independent contestants. 

The open space behind the Holiday Inn Hotel is reserved for workers of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)  and the Congress.
A parking lot for all the polling officers, police personnel and employees counting votes has been reserved opposite the main stadium.

Parking has been banned on both sides of the service road from Radha Chowk to Mhalunge police chowki and from Radha Chowk to the Holiday Inn Hotel.

Tight security arrangement will be made at the venue of counting of votes, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and State 
Reserve Police Force personnel have been posted at the venue. 

Besides a team of 563 police personnel led by two deputy police commissioners and seven assistant police commissioners will keep a vigil at the site.
