A banned driver had a seven year old boy in his car when tried to outrun police at speeds of up to 130mph.
A firearms unit officer was waiting for Lucas Needham's Vauxhall Vectra at Abergele , and pursued him along the A55.
The armed officer reached speeds of up to 130mph but Needham did not stop. A traffic officer who also went in pursuit of him reached similar speeds.
At one stage the 25-year-old, of Linden Avenue in Connah's Quay, had at one point driven without lights on a dark stretch of road.
His lawyer Huw Roberts, defending Needham at Llandudno magistrates court, said: "Thankfully there was no collision, damage or injury."
The court heard from prosecutor James Neary that Needham was "a man who routinely commits serious motoring offences".
He was remanded in custody until June 13 after admitting dangerous driving. He will next appear at Mold crown court.
Needham, who made no comment to police after his arrest on Monday, is currently on a suspended sentence.
