MP's Bhawna completes Mt Everest summit

BHOPAL: Bhawna Dheriya, physical education student of Bhopal based VNS College affiliated to Barkatullah University, completed the Mt Everest summit on Wednesday. She has become the first woman from Madhya Pradesh who has completed the summit.
Notably, Bhawna, 27-year-old, belongs to Chhindwara. Sources said Bhawna was in need of Rs 25 lakh for completing the summit. “In that situation Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath had helped her by arranging money for her,” said BU’s director sports, Dr Dr Akhilesh Sharma.
Bhawna’s teacher Dr Rajesh Tripathi told TOI that Bhawna completed the summit in the morning today. “Bhawna has made us proud. She is a student of master degree in our college. I have not spoken to her. We are waiting to talk her after she reaches the base camp,” said Dr Tripathi.
Talking to TOI, Sherpa Kaju on phone confirmed that group of three climbers have completed the summit. “Bhawna was one of them. A girl Anita had also completed the summit on May 21,” said Sherpa Kaju. Notably, Bhawna is daughter of a teacher in Chhindwara.
Notably, Megha Parmar of Sehore had scaled 23000 ft altitude of Mount Everest last year. Megha was the student of Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal. She had reached the level after many struggles and facing many challenges.
Megha Parmar a young 24 years old girl and an experienced mountaineer is from Village Bhojnagar Sehore District of Madhya Pradesh. She was pursuing M.Sc. in Yoga from Rabindranath Tagore University. She had hoisted the Indian Flag on the Himalayan Mountain range Devi Tibba last year. She took part in save environment, woman empowerment, water conservation, de-addiction programme through NSS.
