Congress-JDS Coalition Government in Karnataka may collapse with in a day or two: Sadananda Gowda

Bengaluru, Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda today predicted that the one-year-old JDS-Congress coalition government in Karnataka may collapse in a day or two after Lok Sabha election results comes out tomorrow.

Speaking to newsmen here on Wednesday, Gowda, who was also former Karnataka Chief Minister, maintained that with the Exit poll results had predicted a windfall for the BJP. “Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will have to step down following a possible debacle in the elections”.

“The BJP in Karnataka is well prepared to form the new Government” he added.

Referring to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s efforts to unite the non-BJP parties at the Center, he said “It will be a futile exercise being undertaken by Naidu, who is likely to be unseated in his own State”.

Endorsing the views of Congress leader and former Minister Roshan Baig’s statement, he said “Baig had spoken the truth”.
