JAIPUR: A Class XII student was allegedly raped at gunpoint by two youths in the wee hours of Monday when she had gone out to relieve herself.
The incident occurred at Toda Bheem in Karauli district and the local police have registered a case on the girl’s complaint. The two accused are still absconding.
Rajendra Singh, circle officer, Toda Bheem police district, said, “The complainant is a minor and stated that she was allegedly threatened by two youths with a firearm around 3 am on Monday when she went out of the house to relieve herself. They allegedly raped her and one of them she identified. Following this, she registered a complaint with us.”

Although one of the youths has been identified, the identity of the other accused is still unknown. “One of the accused has been identified but his age is still not known so it is a possibility that he might be a minor as well. Both the accused are absconding and we are tracing the one who has been named by the complainant so through him we can reach the second one as well. Also we are trying to confirm the make of the weapon used by the accused to threaten the girl which will possibly give us more leads,” added Singh.
With increasing number of rape cases being reported in the state following the Thanagazi gang-rape, police are also completing all the formalities at the earliest in such matters. In this recent case, the medical test of the complainant has already been done as well as DNA tests for tracing the accused. A date has also been scheduled to record her statement under Section 164 CrPC.
