The Diman boys' tennis team qualified for the state tournament after defeating Somerset Berkley 3-2 on Wednesday in a match that was a continuation from last week.

The Bengals swept the singles matches with Landon Begin, Angus Bonoan and Noah Jean posting victories.

Somerset Berkley won the doubles matches with Will Brownell and Tyler Barros winning in three sets, while Tom Goodwin and Owen Carlesi posting a 6-3, 6-3 wint No. 2.

B-R 3, Durfee 2: At first singles, Javier Beltran won his match 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 for the Hilltoppers, who fell to 7-10.

Durfee got its second point at second doubles as Chris Panchley and Cam Jacob pulled out a 7-6 (7-4), 7-5 win.

West Bridgewater 5, Bishop Connolly 0: The Cougars were swept in their regular season finale and finished with a 10-4 record.

 

GIRLS' TENNIS

B-R 4, Durfee 1: Durfee got its lone point at first doubles when Catarina Pereira and Allyson Holding teamed up for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 victory.

Durfee fell to 8-10.

 

VOLLEYBALL

Durfee 3, Madison Park 0: The Hilltoppers, led by the strong front-row play of Nelson DeCarvalho and Danny Keyes, cruised, winning 25-18, 25-9, 25-13.

DeCarvalho had seven kills and five aces, while Keyes had a team-high eight kills.

Andrew Saunders had 22 assists, which Zach Massa had 10.

Roman Muller finished with three aces and five digs for the Toppers (12-7).
