A commuter was left disgusted after discovering two used syringes stuck into a Perth train seat.

The angry traveller shared an image of the needles jammed into the seat on Reddit.

Concerned online users were outraged and shamed the individual who left the syringes behind.

'What if a child found this?! Humanity is sh*t,' one individual asked.

'Those j**ks, a child could have sat there and stabbed themselves why would somebody do this?!,' another said. 

'If you do that people should be allowed to punch your face in,' wrote a third.

A Transperth spokesperson said passengers should alert drivers if they see dangerous items. 

'Even if no-one was around, all our railcars have buttons at every door where you can speak to the train driver, and our operational staff are thoroughly trained in how to safely dispose of sharps,' he told Yahoo News.     

'The safety of our passengers is our highest priority and we would have removed them as soon as possible,' the spokesperson said.
