Gurgaon: Counting of votes for the Gurgaon
parliamentary seat will be done in Gurgaon,
Rewari and
Mewat on May 23. The
Election Commission has appointed five observers in the seat. Returning officer and deputy commissioner of Gurgaon Amit Khatri said that 14 tables had been arranged for counting of votes in each of the nine assembly constituencies under the parliamentary seat. “Counting of votes will start at 8am,” he said. Votes of three assembly constituencies, Nuh, Punhana and Firozpur Jhirka, will be counted at the degree college in Mewat. Votes of the Rewari and
Bawal assembly constituencies will be counted at the government girl’s college in Rewari’s Sector 18. Votes of the Gurgaon, Badshapur, Sohna and Pataudi assembly constituencies will be counted at the government college in Gurgaon’s Sector 14. Vote counting of the Badshahpur and Punhana assembly constituencies will see the maximum number of rounds (25) whereas Nuh will see the minimum, 14 rounds.
