Man Utd 'agree personal terms' with first summer signing - but deal NOT done yet
MANCHESTER UNITED are inching closer to their first signing of the summer.
Manchester United have bid around £15m for Swansea star Daniel James and the move in now understood to be nearly complete.
The Welshman has agreed personal terms and is keen to make Old Trafford his new home.
As of yet the deal is not done, but Sky Sports report Kaveh Solhekol reveals it is close to conclusion.
He tweeted: "Daniel James set to become Manchester United's first singing of the summer. Deal not done yet but will be soon. Personal terms agreed. Player wants to join United."
In a tweet from earlier this month, Solhekol wrote: "Manchester United close to agreeing deal to sign Swansea City winger Daniel James for £15m. He almost joined Leeds United in a £8.5m deal in January. He has one year left on Swansea deal. Lots of other PL clubs interested."
The 21-year-old would be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first signing since taking over in Manchester.
The Norwegian is readying himself for a busy summer as he looks to overhaul a squad desperately in need of a spark.
United’s initial upturn in form following his arrival evaporated towards the end of the season and they finished sixth.
Solskjaer has since outlined his vision for rebuilding the club and sees young hungry players as the way forward.
James fits that mould having enjoyed a breakthrough season at the Liberty Stadium.

- Woodward sends Solskajer a summer warning
His impressive performances almost saw him join Leeds in the January transfer window before a breakdown in negotiations saw the deal collapse.
But the Welsh club are now set to receive more than what their Championship rivals were going to pay.
Ryan Sessegnon and Sean Longstaff are thought to be two of Solskajer’s other summers targets as he looks to make the right additions.
Ed Woodward has cautioned the Norwegian against overspending having overseen a reckless couple of years in the transfer market alongside previous regimes.

Solskjaer’s eagerness to bring players in is further accelerated by the fear of those who could still leave Old Trafford.
Paul Pogba, who experienced a huge renaissance under the United boss earlier this season, saw his performances tail off which coincided with comments he made on international duty that suggested he saw his future elsewhere.
Goalkeeper David De Gea is also currently negotiating a new deal at Old Trafford, but he and the club appear to be someway apart in their wage demands with the Spaniard entering the final year of his deal.
