Tamil Nadu state board schools to reopen on June 3

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu state board schools will reopen on June 3 after summer vacation. This official announcement has put an end to rumours that the summer vacation might be extended due to extreme weather conditions and water scarcity.
Government and private matriculation schools were closed in April after the annual exams.
In a circular to all district-level officials, the state school education department has said that all textbooks, uniform and freebies will reach them before May 24.
District-level authorities have been told to complete distribution of these materials to individual schools before May 30 and submit a compliance report the very next day.
