Amateur bakers have shared some of their worst cake fails on social media and they'll instantly make you feel better about your last recipe disaster.
The birthday and occasion cakes range from remakes of Garfield to Mickey Mouse and even Ursula from the Little Mermaid, proving that fondant and buttercream should only be handled by experts in the field.
Many of the professional cakes they are modelled on from were found on Pinterest but they weren't able to live up to the expectation of hours in the kitchen, carefully piped layers of frosting and 3D decorations.
In reality the results looked nothing like the characters themselves.
