Senior UP BSP leader Ramveer Upadhyaya suspended for anti-party activities

AGRA: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Tuesday suspended its senior leader and former UP minister, Ramveer Upadhyaya, for indulging in anti-party activities.
A suspension letter was issued to Ramveer Upadhyaya by party’s national general secretary Mewalal Gautam, saying that he was found supporting candidates from the opposition and was opposing his own party candidates in Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, and Aligarh.
The letter further stated that he had been earlier also warned against indulging in such anti-party activities, but he did not stop.

BSP’s zonal coordinator, Sunil Chittod, said that Upadhyaya has been suspended from the party and also removed from the chief whip’s post.
It is worth mentioning here that Upadhyaya was spotted hugging and extending greetings to BJP candidate from Agra, SP Singh Baghel, just five days before the alliance’s mega public gathering in Agra on April 16. They both greeted each other and hugged publicly. For nearly 10 minutes they were also engaged in conversation.
Not only this, earlier, Upadhyaya had asked all Brahmin voters to extend support to BJP’s Aligarh candidate Satish Gautam, while attending a local function in Aligarh.
