Lakme Academy inaugurated in KP

Pune: The Lakme Academy was inaugurated in Koregaon Park (KP) on Thursday (May 16) by Pranjal Dudhe, the reigning Mrs Maharashtra - Empress of Maharashtra 2018. 
 
Lakme Academy, powered by Aptech, is a leading beauty training academy in India and is based in Mumbai.

The academy, in association with Beauty Craft Academy Pvt Ltd, is located at Jewel Square in Koregaon Park. It will be enrolling students for hair, beauty and make-up courses. 

Sumit Kumar Sharma, General Manager of The Central Park Hotel on Bund Garden Road, said that the academy was a step towards realising his vision of providing skills to women to become independent. “I want to see this academy at number one position in Pune region in the coming six months,” he said.

According to a statement released by the organisers, the beauty and wellness industry in India is growing at a tremendous pace.
 
“The salon and spa business accounts for 31 per cent of the total size of the beauty and wellness market. To fulfil this requirement of skilled manpower in the beauty industry, we have come up with the Lakme Academy at the most exotic place in Pune,” the organisers said.

The academy has Lakme-certified trainers and will provide job assistance to all those passing out.
