Registration process for Rajasthan engineering colleges begins

About 14 government and 87 private colleges are expected to register for the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP), which started in the state this week.

The seat matrix for respective colleges and streams will be prepared by May 25, following which the applicants can fill online application form from May 30 onwards.

The applicants have to fill personal, educational and payment details on the portal. They will be required to give their scanned photograph and signature, JEE Main 2019 card showing their all India rank (AIR), valid mobile number and e-mail ID, Aadhar card, category certificate and Class 12 mark sheet.

Sandeep Rankawat, principal of the Government Engineering College in Barmer, said this year the registration of colleges is being done by the centre for e-governance. “In addition to the core streams of engineering such as civil engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, several specialised streams like petroleum engineering are also available in the colleges,” said Rankawat, adding that a pre-registration helpdesk has been set up in his college.

Students can fill the admission form till June 30. The counselling and admission process will go on for nearly four months. Students of Rajasthan and other states can participate in the admission process.

For the last academic year (2018-19), nearly 68 colleges of Rajasthan Technical University and nearly 33 colleges from Bikaner Technical University participated in the admission process, in which nearly 12,182 and 3,130 students took admissions respectively.
