AMBALA: Two
petrol pump workers were electrocuted near Dhurkada village in
HaryanaAmbala district on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Harpreet Singh alias Monu, 22, of Dhurkada village, and Gurdhian Singh, 30, of Segta village in Ambala district.
Bboth were workers at Sampat Filling Station. On Sunday, due to some technical issue the electricity was not working at the filling station when the workers Monu, Gurdhian, Inderjit, and Rinku went to neighbouring Mahavir College to bring movable iron stairs.
While returning from the college with the iron stairs, Inderjit was riding a two-wheeler, but Rinku, Monu, and Gurdhian were dragging the movable stairs towards filling station when it touched the high-tension wires passing in the way. Following the contact of stairs with high-tension fire, Rinku was thrown away but Monu and Gurdhian got severely charred.
Sources told Rinku and Inderjit informed station owner Yogesh Singh about the incident, who then took the injured in his car to the Ambala City Civil Hospital Trauma Centre, where the doctors declared them brought dead. The electricity contact was so strong that that even Monu’s arm got separated from his body.
