Ahmedabad man posts lewd images of ex, held

AHMEDABAD: City cyber cell on Saturday arrested man Bhavin Chakravati, 26, of Vadaj for sending lewd pictures and messages to the parents and relatives of his former girlfriend. Chakravati runs a catering business.
DCP Rajdeepsinh Jhala said parents of the girl had approached them and lodged A complaint that lewd pictures of their daughter were uploaded by an unknown person on their social media accounts and the accounts of their relatives.
Assistant commissioner of police, cyber cell, Jeetendra Yadav, said based on technical analysis they identified the IP address of the device from which the pictures had been uploaded.
Inspector V B Barad of cyber cell said that based on the IP address they located Chakravati in Vadaj and apprehended them.
“During interrogation it came to light that the girl and Chakravati had a relationship but they had split up. To ‘defame’ the girl, Chakravati uploaded morphed lewd pictures of the girl on the accounts of her parents and other relatives,” Barad said. “Chakravati studied up to Class IX and lives with his parents,” Barad added.
