Mumbai: 40 days after a woman was found hanging at her Antop Hill home, a murder case was registered against her husband after the postmortem report (PM) said she might have been strangled instead of died of hanging. Husband Naresh Sabarwal (34) was arrested for murder. According to police, Supriya Sabarwal (34) was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her room at Sardar Nagar area of Antop Hill on April 7.
After postmortem report, Sion doctors reserved their opinion. The cops have sent the viscera and nail clipping to the forensic lab. “During investigation, we received a detailed PM report, which suggested Supriya was strangled. Then, we added the charges for murder of Supriya (section 302) and arrested Naresh,” said an officer.
