JALANDHAR: After the Congress and SAD attacked each other on the issue of sacrilege and 1984, proxy ads have been inserted to score against each other in vernacular media.
While some Sikh groups have inserted advertisements against Badals on sacrilege issue, an ad sponsored by NRIs has been placed in vernacular media on the issue of 1984, calling it the biggest sacrilege.
In the last few days some Sikh groups have inserted front page ads in vernacular media, reminding Sikhs not to forget sacrilege and police firing while carrying clippings of newspapers and action against Sikh protesters. They directly targeted Badals in these ads.
However, an advertisement issued by two Ireland-based NRIs has been inserted against the Congress and Bargari Morcha leaders, using the same language and arguments which SAD leaders have been using against them. The ad asks Sikhs to assess that who is the real culprit of sacrilege in 1984.
With pictures of damaged
Akal Takht in 1984 Army action, this ad questions Bargari Morcha leaders Dhian Singh Mand and Baljet Singh Daduwal in a big way.
