LUCKNOW: A former student of
Lucknow University, against whom the varsity lodged an FIR on May 16, pleaded innocence on Saturday and said she had no link whatsoever with the marksheet racket.
Geitika Lamba, who completed her BSc in
mathematics from LU in 2004, told TOI she was being unnecessarily harassed by university officials. "It is the university's job to maintain correct records. Had my marksheets been forged, why would IT College from where I finished my graduation give me an NOC to obtain a migration certificate from the university?" she said.
Lamba added that she had written to the UGC secretary, LU vice chancellor, governor, chief minister and SSP on the matter.
