The French giants were left frustrated in their efforts to sign the Everton midfielder back in January after the Blues refused to sell and have decided not to go back in for the Senegal international.

The same report claims if Chelsea resist selling Kante, PSG will instead focus on Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure rather than make another move for Gueye.

Wolves in talks with Rondon

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly opened talks with Salomon Rondon after qualifying for next season’s Europa League.

The West Bromwich Albion striker enjoyed a successful year on loan at Newcastle United this year and looks set to leave the Hawthorns after West Brom failed to secure an immediate return to the top-flight.

Rafa Benitez is keen to keep the forward at St James’ Park, but owner Mike Ashley is said to be reluctant to fork out for the 29-year-old.

Rondon has been linked with Everton in the past but it Wolves who have stolen a march in the hunt for his signature according to the Daily Star.

The Venezuela international is said to have a £16.5million release clause in his West Brom contract with the report claiming Wolves have already made contact with his representatives about a potential move to Molineux.
