IndyCar updates schedule for last row qualifiers, pole shootout


The NTT IndyCar Series has issued a new schedule of events on a rain-disrupted Sunday here at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and you can follow the action via live text here on Motorsport.com.
The Last Row qualification shootout, with six drivers gunning for positions 31 through 33 on the grid for the 103rd Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge will start at 4.30pm local (Eastern) time.
Each driver will get just a single four-lap run, in the following order –
James Hinchcliffe, #5T Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Honda
Max Chilton, #59 Carlin Racing-Chevrolet
Fernando Alonso, #66 McLaren Racing-Chevrolet
Sage Karam, #24 Dreyer & Reinbold Racing-Chevrolet
Patricio O’Ward, #31 Carlin Racing-Chevrolet
Kyle Kaiser, #32 Juncos Racing-Chevrolet
These six were scheduled to practice for 30mins this morning but it rained after 20mins, while the Fast Nine pole contenders did not get to run their scheduled half hour of practice.
The Fast Nine shootout drivers will be granted just one four-lap run each and will run in the reverse order to their speeds from yesterday:

Alexander Rossi, #27 Andretti Autosport-Honda
Ed Carpenter, #20 Ed Carpenter Racing-Chevrolet
Ed Jones, #63 Ed Carpenter Racing Scuderia Corsa-Chevrolet
Colton Herta, #88 Harding Steinbrenner Racing
Josef Newgarden, #2 Team Penske-Chevrolet
Simon Pagenaud, #22 Team Penske-Chevrolet
Will Power, #12 Team Penske-Chevrolet
Spencer Pigot, #21 Ed Carpenter Racing-Chevrolet
