Indore: The smart system introduced for distribution of polling material to polling parties worked effectively at Nehru Stadium on Saturday. Departure of the parties from the Stadium was completed by 12.30pm. Over 15,000 employees have been engaged in conducting the Lok Sabha elections in Indore Parliamentary Seat.
On Saturday, 2,875 polling parties departed from the stadium for polling booths after collecting polling material. Not going with the traditional pattern of distribution of polling material, this time certain changes were made to make it smart one.
Nine seprate camps were set up for nine assembly constituencies, differentiating them by nine different colours. At these camps one table and four chairs were placed for each polling parties as per the plan. On the top of the table, a paper having mobile number of sector officer and vehicle incharge, polling party number and counter number was placed.
Sector officer took the attendance of the party at the table and then 3 crew members visited the table and hand over the polling materials, including EVM, Control Unit, VVPAT, forms and other documents. Earlier the polling parties had to stand in queue and collect the materials. The new system helped in reducing the timing and tension of the members of the polling parties.
Resultantly, the departure of the polling parties started from 9.30am and completed by 12.30pm. Collector Lokesh Kumar Jatav and ADM and incharge of polling material distribution work Bhavya Mittal also visited and inspected the distribution work at the Nehru Stadium.
