Man shot at in Rohini, gang rivalry suspected

NEW DELHI: In a scene right out of a Bollywood flick, a man was chased and shot numerous times in Sector 11, Rohini on Friday in a suspected gang rivalry.
The victim, Manish, was returning from a party with his friends when they were waylaid by the shooters. Manish has been admitted to a private hospital where his condition is said to be critical.
The incident occurred around 8pm when Manish and his friends were passing through Sector 11. Their car was intercepted by a Swift. A group of shooters stepped out and started firing at his car. Manish got out of his car and started running away, but he was chased by the shooters.

Eyewitnesses said 17 rounds were fired at Manish, four of which hit him. Fortunately, a group of children playing on the road escaped being hit as they ran away after hearing the first shots being fired.
A case has been registered at KN Katju Marg police station. CCTV footage of the area is being scanned to identify the shooters.
