Youth held for stealing cash from Kukke temple hundis

Mangaluru: A youth has been arrested for stealing money from hundis of the Kukke Subrahmanya Temple on Friday.
According to temple authorities, the arrested person has been identified as Ashwin Gowda J P,19, a resident of Tiptur in Tumakuru district. Ashwin, who came to the temple as a devotee, stole money from small hundis, which were overflowing with cash, and it was noticed by security personnel. During the thorough checking of CCTVs installed in the temple premises, it was seen that Avinash had stolen cash from several such hundis. A case was registered against him in the Subrahmanya police station, and he was arrested. He has been remanded in judicial custody.
