The seventh and last phase of polling for Lok Sabha election 2019 will be held on May 19. In the seventh phase of the general elections, 59 Lok Sabha constituencies spread across eight states will vote.
All parliamentary constituencies in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, along with the Union Territory of Chandigarh, will vote in the final phase of the polls. In Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, voting will take place in a few Lok Sabha constituencies. The Varanasi Lok Sabha seat, from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seeking to be re-elected, is one of the key seats that will vote in Phase 7.
These 59 constituencies will vote from 7 am to 6 pm in most states except in Jharkhand and parts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, where voting will end early at 4 pm.

In the final phase 8 seats from Bihar, 3 seats from Jharkhand, 8 seats from Madhya Pradesh, 13 seats from Punjab, 9 seats from West Bengal, 1 seat from Chandigarh, 13 seats from Uttar Pradesh and 4 seats from Himachal Pradesh.
In Bihar, Nalanda, Patna Sahib, Patliputra, Arrah, Buxar, Sasaram, Karakat, Jahanabad; in Jharkhand, Rajmahal, Dumka, Godda; in Madhya Pradesh, Ujjain, Mandsour, Ratlam, Dhar, Indore, Khargone, Khandwa, Betul; in Punjab, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Khadoor Sahib, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Anandpur Sahib, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, Ferozpur, Bathinda, Sangrur, Patiala; in West Bengal, Dum Dum, Barasat, Basirhat, Joynagar, Mathurapur, Diamond Harbour, Jadavpur, Kolkata Dakshin, Kolkata Uttar; in Chandigarh, Chandigarh; Uttar Pradesh, Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Kushi Nagar, Deoria, Bansgaon, Ghosi, Salempur, Ballia, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Robertsganj; in Himachal Pradesh, Kangra, Mandi, Hamirpur, Shimla, will vote.

Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh:
The Assembly Constituencies that fall in Varanasi parliamentary constituency are Rohaniya, Varanasi North, Varanasi South, Varanasi Cantt and Sevapuri. All eyes will be on this constituency where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is contesting from. Other prominent names are Ajay Rai of Congress and Shalini Yadav of Samajwadi Party that are candidates contesting the general elections 2019 from Varanasi Lok Sabha Constituency of Uttar Pradesh.
Chandigarh:
Chandigarh Lok Sabha constituency covers the entire Union Territory of Chandigarh. Chandigarh Lok Sabha constituency is not reserved for any category. In 2014, BJP’s Kirron Kher defeated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Gul Panag and Congress candidate Pawan Kumar Bansal. Bansal, a former Union minister, had represented this constituency from 1999 to 2014. Now, Bansal is taking on Kher again while AAP has fielded Harmohan Dhawan.
Gurdaspur, Punjab:
Gurdaspur covers nine assembly segments – Bhoa, Sujanpur, Pathankot, Dinanagar, Gurdaspur, Dera Baba Nanak, Batala, Qadian. Veteran actor Vinod Khanna had won this seat for the BJP in 2014. However, it was clinched by Congress’ Sunil Jakhar in the by-election triggered by Khanna’s demise in 2017. Sunny Deol of Bharatiya Janata Party, Sunil Kumar Jakhar of Indian National Congress and Peter Masih of Aam Aadmi Party are a few prominent candidates contesting Lok Sabha election for 2019 from Gurdaspur Lok Sabha Constituency of Punjab.
Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh:
Hamirpur constituency covers 17 assembly segments – Dehra, Sujanpur, Jaswan-Pragpur, Hamirpur, Bhoranj, Barsar, Nadaun, Chintpurni, Gagret, Haroli, Una, Sri Naina Deviji, Jhanduta, Ghumarwin, Bilaspur, Dharampur and Kutleher. In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Anurag Singh Thakur of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The constituency was represented by his father and former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal multiple times. Anurag Singh Thakur of Bharatiya Janata Party, Desh Raj of Bahujan Samaj Party and Ram Lal Thakur of Indian National Congress are a few prominent candidates contesting Lok Sabha election 2019 from Hamirpur Lok Sabha Constituency of Himachal Pradesh.
Jadavpur, West Bengal:
The assembly segments which fall under the Jadavpur Lok Sabha Constituency are – Baruipur Purba (SC), Baruipur Paschim, Sonarpur Dakshin, Bhangar, Jadavpur, Sonarpur Uttar and Tollygunge. This prestigious seat was once held by Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Anupam Hazra of Bharatiya Janata Party, Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharyya of Communist Party of India (Marxist), Bimal Krishna Mandal of Bahujan Samaj Party and actress-turned-politician Mimi Chakraborty of All India Trinamool Congress are few prominent candidates contesting for general elections 2019 from Jadavpur Lok Sabha Constituency of West Bengal.
Patna Sahib, Bihar:
Patna Sahib constituency covers seven assembly segments – Bakhtiarpur, Digha, Bankipur, Kumhrar, Patna Sahib and Fatuha. Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha had won this seat for the BJP in both 2009 and 2014. Ravi Shankar Prasad of Bharatiya Janata Party, Shatrughan Sinha (now with Indian National Congress) and Sumit Ranjan Sinha of Shiv Sena are some of the prominent names that will contest the Lok Sabha election 2019 from Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar.
