ROHTAK: In all, 57.39% students have emerged successful in the Class X exam this year, results for which were announced by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) on Friday. The percentage of those who failed to clear the board exam stands at close to 43%. The
BSEH has described this year’s results as ‘best’ in the last six years.
In 2018, the pass percentage was 51.15% , in 2017, it dropped to a poor 20.59% , in 2016, it was 48.88% and in 2015, it was 45.84%. In 2014, there was a marked improvement when the pass percentage rose to 60.84%. In 2013, there was a dip at 50.79% . The board claimed their pass percentage has been increasing steadily over the last four years
Over 3.64 lakh students appeared for the exam and like senior secondary results, announced recently, girls have outshone boys by achieving about 10% higher pass percentage. The pass percentages of girls and boys were 62.17% and 53.43%, respectively. Interestingly, boys students from rural areas fared better (58.59%) than their urban counterparts (54.19%). Private schools enjoyed an edge of about 10% over the government schools which saw their pass percentage reach 52.71%.
Meanwhile, four students, including three girls, have topped the Class X exam after they jointly scored 497 out of 500 marks. Jind have jointly secured first position.
Nidhi of
Hisar, Ritika of Fatehabad, Tannu of Panipat and Divya of Sirsa shared the second position with 496 marks each. The three who finished third are Ekta of Jind, Muskan of Sirsa and Sahil Bhardwaj of Panipat. They scored 495 marks each.
At a press conference, BSEH chairman Dr Jagbir Singh and secretary Rajiv Parshad informed on Friday that the results are available at its website www.bseh.org.in and www.indiaresults.com. Students can also check their results on mobile application ‘Education Board Bhiwani, Haryana’.
Inputs for another jointly topper Shalini in class X who hails from Narwana town of Jind Shalini Rani, who hails from Narwana town and student of Maharishi public school, jointly stood at first by scoring 497 (99.7 %) marks out of 500 in Haryana Board of School Education
class X results announced on Friday want to be a doctor. Talking to media persons Shalini said that " i used to study 6 hours of daily and stayed away myself from social media and didn’t use whatsapp and other sites near exams time. My mother and father both are teacher who supported me in study at home.
