HYDERABAD: Three persons who allegedly created a fake
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party letterhead with a forged signature of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, were arrested by Cyberabad police on Saturday. The accused gave this fake letter to officials of
Ranga Reddy district Collectorate, to mutate a piece of land in Gachibowli in favour of prime accused Mohammed Osman Qureshi.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Madhapur Zone) A Venkateshwar Rao said that it was on Wednesday, Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), Rajendra Nagar, lodged a complaint in Raidurgam police claiming that one Qureshi created forged letter in the name of TRS with forged signature of KCR addressed to Collector RR district directing to mutate 2.20 acres of land in Gachibowli village and issue pahani.
This fake letter was submitted in the Inward Section and it reached RDO. Since the RDO got suspicious about the letter head, he cross checked with Chief Minister’s Office and TRS Partymen before coming to a conclusion that it is fake.
On Friday, police nabbed three persons - Qureshi, Syed Rashid Hussain and B Amarender- while their accomplice Baba Khan is absconding. The arrested accused were caught at Shalibanda.
Osman entered into false agreement with on Rafia Sultana of Golconda to the extent of 2.20 acre land at Gachibowli village. Osman approached Hussain for mutation of land and Hussain in turn gave 10 fake letter heads with KCR signatures with seals on it. On this letterhead, the Osman with the help of Amarender got the content written addressing it to
Ranga Reddy Collector.
During the investigation, police came to know that it was Baba Khan who supplied the fake stamps,TRS
letterheads with CM signatures, to the accused Hussain. From the arrested accused, police seized various fabricated documents. The police booked the four accused under the sections 420(cheating), 468(forgery), 471 (using as genuine a forged document) of IPC.
