Hudkeshwar police make no progress in murder case

Nagpur: The Hudkeshwar police seem to be in no hurry to make more arrests in Shrikant Wanjari murder case. Cops have so far arrested only Vickey Bhosle, kin of a gangster. On Saturday, he was produced before court which remanded him to police custody till May 21.
Wanjari family had named several persons, including Bhosle and his brother-in-law goon Shailesh Kedar, to be behind the murder. Kedar, also relative of a dreaded gangster in the city, is on the run.
Wanjari had borrowed Rs1.75 lakh from Bhosle and Kedar who were demanding around Rs2.80 lakh from him as repayment including interests. It has been reliably learnt that the duo had been using the gangster’s money for their lending business.
The deceased was kidnapped by Bhosle, Kedar and others on May 5. Wanjari, though released the same day, was thrashed and stabbed before being released. On May 8, he was found dead at his residence.

He had ligature mark on his neck. The doctors have reliably stated that Wanjari died due to ‘constriction of the neck’.
The police, despite it being a sensitive case, haven’t got more insight from the forensic experts at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) into the complex nature of injuries on Wanjari.
