Budding stars looking to break onto hit TV show 'The Voice' will get their chance at a former nuclear bunker.

Auditions for the ITV programme are once again coming to ROC2 Studios in Borras, Wrexham , on Tuesday May 21 at 2pm.

Anybody who thinks they have what it takes will is being invited to audition and impress talent scouts, for a crack at making it through and spinning a judges chair.

The advert for the auditions says "Do you have what it takes to turn a chair?

"We are on the lookout for incredible solo artists, duos and trios for the Voice 2020."

Originally built in 1962 to withstand a nuclear explosion at the height of the Cold War, the facility now holds a world class studio behind its metre thick walls.

When the bunker was built, it was initially under the control of the Royal Observer Corps and was prepared to sound the four-minute warning in the event of an imminent nuclear attack.

In the early 90s a studio was established there by dance music remixers K-Klass, before being taken over by Mr Jones in May 2015.

Llandudno band Catfish and the Bottlemen has used the Filter Room studio to rehearse for their 2016 gig at Glastonbury and as a base for writing tracks for their album The Ride.

The studio also features live areas for bands to rehearse and a photographic “white room” studio. It is also home to Eternal Media, a production charity making documentary films and content for non-profit groups, organisations and businesses.
