Jubilee Hills Check Post metro station opening today

more-in

Jubilee Hills Check Post station, the last remaining station between Ameerpet and HiTec City to be opened after the route was made operational last month, will be available for commuters from Saturday.

This was announced by Hyderabad Metro Rail and L&T Metro Rail on Friday.

Unlike other overhead metro stations with two levels - a concourse and a platform on top, this will be a single-deck station with no concourse owing to a peculiar land profile.

So, passengers entering the station will be directly getting on to the platform deck.

To enable passengers to move to both sides of the platform, two pathways are being built underneath. With the opening of this station, commuters from and to Filmnagar, Journalists Colony, Nandagiri Hills, Taraka Rama Nagar, Deen Dayal Nagar, Gayatri Hills and other colonies around JH Check Post and KBR Park and other areas of Banjara Hills will have easy access to metro rail services, said HMR MD N.V.S. Reddy.

With this, all the 50 metro stations in the 56-km of Corridor I and Corridor III (27 stations in Corridor I - Miyapur-LB Nagar; and 23 stations in Corridor III – Nagole-Hitec City) have been opened for the public, he added.
