Cong MLA’s son dies in accident in West Bengal

Rajkot: Vishal Kagathra, son of Congress MLA from Tankara and party’s Lok Sabha candidate from Rajkot seat, Lalit Kagathra, died in a road accident near Berhampore in West Bengal on Saturday.
Congress members said that Vishal (35), his wife and son; his brother Ravi and his wife, along with four other couples were on a tour of various places in West Bengal.
Congress’s Dhoraji MLA Lalit Vasoya said, “Vishal and others were returning to Kolkata to catch a flight back when a truck rammed into their bus near Berhampore.” He said that Vishal died on the spot, while his wife and son have survived. Vishal’s brother Ravi and his family also survived and are currently under treatment.
Vasoya added, “Patidar leader Hardik Patel is reaching Kolkata to bring back Vishal’s body to Ahmedabad.”
Vishal used to manage the packaging material manufacturing unit of Kagathra.
