BASEBALL: Diman tops West Bridgewater to keep its record perfect

Diman Regional, leader in Mayflower Athletic Conference Large Vocational baseball, kept its perfect record intact by downing Mayflower MAC Comprehensive leader West Bridgewater 6-2 on Friday in West Bridgewater.

Winning pitcher Isaac Cowen scattered five hits over six innings and Ryan Viveiros pitched the seventh.

Offensively for Diman (11-0), Kyle Silvia was 3-for-4 with two runs batted in, Daryan Rogers was 2-for-3, and Tyler Fleet lifted a sacrifice fly.

Middleboro 6, Somerset Berkley Regional 4: At Middleboro, the Sachems struck for five runs in the third inning and held on.

The Raiders scored three runs in the top of the inning to take a 3-1 lead, but the hosts responded with the five runs in the bottom of the frame.

Chris Cabral finished with two hits for the Raiders.
