Bhopal: The accused in triple murder case Jitendra Puraviya is still out of police reach. Over a family dispute, thirty-five-year old ganja addict had axed to death his parents and wife in Bareli of Raisen district on Wednesday night. His seven-year-old son, who had sustained bullet injuries, is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Police have launched a hunt to trace the accused and are also closely keeping an eye on his close relatives. Police teams have been fanned in the area, but they have not succeeded in getting any clue about Jitendra’s whereabouts.
District SP Monika Shukla confirming that accused is still on the run, said that he would soon be arrested. The man has committed a heinous crime and no one, not even his relative would provide shelter to him, said SP adding that police teams have been fanned to trace him. We are having close monitoring at ghats of Narmada River. The chances of his taking any extreme step are very dim as he is aware of the fact that his two little sons are still alive, said the officer.
Generally, in cases like triple murder in family, the accused in remorse takes extreme step but in this case, Jitendra would refrain as he still have two little son alive. His elder son is admitted with bullet injuries, while the younger son is at his uncles’ place. The younger boy had told police that he had never felt comfortable with his father as he would quarrel with everyone in the house. The little boy had said that his atmosphere at his maternal uncle’s home was much conducive, informed police. SP further said, “We have also interrogated accused’s relative who live in neighborhood. On Wednesdays night, then Jirendra was thrashing his wife, his cousin’s wife had tried to intervene and she had even called others to stop the man. The woman’s son who also present at Jitendra house at the time of incident had also sustained minor injuries.
